Setra Sports exists because the UK racket sports market has a problem.

Every online store sells the same products, from the same distributors, at roughly the same prices. Meanwhile, across Asia, there is an entire world of high-quality racket sport equipment that never makes it to the UK. Brands that serious players use every day in China, Japan, and Southeast Asia. Gear that you would never know existed if you only shopped on this side of the world.

The founder of Setra Sports has played badminton their whole life. Club level, multiple sessions a week, the kind of player who notices the difference between string tensions and can tell you why one shuttlecock flies differently to another. After years of buying the same gear from the same UK shops, they started looking at what players in Asia were using and what they were paying for it.

The prices were dramatically lower. The quality was often just as good, sometimes better. And entire product categories that UK players would love simply did not exist over here because no retailer had bothered to source them.

So Setra Sports was born. Based in Northern Ireland, sourcing directly from manufacturers and suppliers across Asia, and bringing that gear to UK players at prices that actually make sense.

How We're Different

We do not buy from the same European wholesalers as everyone else and slap a markup on top. Our supply chain runs directly from Asian manufacturers to your door. That is how we offer products you genuinely cannot find from any other UK retailer, and at prices that reflect cutting out the middleman.

Every product on this site has been selected by someone who plays the sport. Someone who has actually hit with it, tested it at club, and decided it is worth stocking. If it is listed here, it is because we would recommend it to someone at our own session.

We write all of our product descriptions ourselves. No copy-pasted manufacturer blurb. No vague marketing. Just honest information from someone who understands what actually matters on court.
