Babolat X6 Pure Drive Racket Bag Review: Big Space, Fair Price

Plenty of Space for Club Players
The Babolat X6 Pure Drive is one of those bags that does exactly what it says on the tin. Six racket slots, two main compartments, and enough room for all the bits that accumulate in your kit bag. At £63, it's sitting in the middle ground between basic bags and the premium options.
I've been handling these daily in the shop for months now, and the build quality is solid without being spectacular. The blue colourway looks smart enough, though it shows dirt more than you'd expect for a sports bag.

What Actually Fits Inside
Babolat claims six rackets, but that's being generous if you're talking modern badminton rackets with covers. Four comfortably, five at a push. The racket compartment isn't as wide as some competitors, so thick grips can be a squeeze.
Where it wins is the separate shoe compartment. Properly ventilated and sized for UK 11s without cramming. The insulated pocket keeps drinks cold enough, though don't expect miracles in summer.
Side pockets are decent for shuttlecocks and small items, but the zips feel a bit cheap. Not broken-after-six-months cheap, but definitely not premium either.
Daily Use Reality
Most of our club players who buy this use it for twice-weekly sessions plus tournaments. The shoulder straps are comfortable enough for walking to the car, less so for longer carries. The padding is adequate but nothing special.
The main compartment zip runs smoothly when new but picks up court dust quickly. You'll be cleaning it more often than you'd like. The fabric holds up well to general knocks and scrapes though.
Compared to What Else Is Available
At £63, you're competing with basic Yonex bags around £45 and stepping up towards premium options at £80+. The Yonex bags are more basic but arguably better value. The premium bags have noticeably better zips and padding.
Where this bag makes sense is if you need the specific capacity and don't want to stretch to £80. It's functional kit that does the job without any major flaws or standout features.
Who's Actually Buying These
In our shop, these go to intermediate club players who've outgrown their basic bags but don't want to spend £80+ on something premium. Players with two or three rackets who want room to grow, basically.
We don't sell many to serious tournament players - they usually go for bags with better organisation and build quality. Casual players often pick cheaper options unless they specifically want the Babolat brand.
The Verdict
It's a competent bag that does what you need without any major complaints. Not exciting, not cheap, not premium. Just solid middle-ground kit.
Buy it if you need something reliable around this price point and the capacity works for your gear. Skip it if you're on a tight budget or want something that'll last years of heavy use.
Check current pricing and availability in our store, though at £63 it's fairly priced for what you get.
